The Cooperative Education Seminar
One of the most valuable aspects of the Co-op Program is the weekly seminar which provides networking and support to students looking for career advancement. A faculty member leads the group discussions and exploration of pertinent topics--i.e., stress, human relations, effective communication on the job, ethical issues in the workplace, and strategies for job promotion. You will also receive professional guidance to set and achieve career goals aimed at a satisfying and productive future. Attendance and participation is 50% of the student's grade.
Several courses are available each semester in both day and evening schools.
Cooperative Work Experience I (CED 210) is the first Co-op seminar (EDU 220 for Elementary Ed majors); and Cooperative Work Experience II (CED 220) is an optional continuation with increased responsibility with your CED 210 (or EDU 220) placement or a totally new placement.
