A national legal encyclopedia published by West Group with 101 numbered volumes and articles on more than 400 broad legal topics.  Each of these topics is then subdivided into many sections, providing a national overview of American law.  Contains footnoted references to court decisions from many different states and from federal courts.  Uses West key numbering system.

American Jurisprudence 2d (Am. Jur. 2d)

A national legal encyclopedia published now by West Group with more than 120 volumes and articles on more than 400 broad legal topics and subdivided as well.  Provides a national overview of American law.  References to federal and state cases are also given.  Am. Jur. 2d tends to focus more on federal law while Corpus Juris Secondum tries to provide an overall view of state and federal law.
