Computer Assisted Learning
The computer lab plays a unique and valuable role in the education of the adult student. Computers provide extensive resources to enhance classroom learning. Each student has scheduled lab time each week to enrich their educational experience and to gain basic computer literacy skills.
Students with little or no experience in computers begin with the basics of computers and go through learning some Microsoft Word and the Internet. They then apply what they have learned to their actual classroom learning in the form of writing and research projects.
Others use the computer to supplement their classroom studies by gaining ample practice and reinforcement in the skills necessary to improve their literacy and to succeed on the GED tests.
