Upward Bound Summer Program
The program provides a six-week residential component which simulates a college experience. It is comprised of a challenging, individualized curriculum which includes math through calculus, laboratory sciences, English literature and composition, foreign languages, study skills and electors as well as a career development component, and twice-weekly all-program seminars.
A bridge component for those about to enter college in the fall provides the experience of an actual college course, plus support activities through a bridge student/freshman year planning component.
Other features include volunteer service, cultural enrichment, recreational activities, tutoring and study hall, field trips to Boston, Providence and beyond and the experience of living in a college setting with teachers, advisors and supervisory staff.
