The Registrar’s Office maintains student academic records, issues transcripts for current and former students, manages registration and add/drop processes, coordinates data for the College Catalog and the course schedule, schedules classrooms, verifies enrollment, records grades, confirms the graduation status of students, orders diplomas, and processes all changes and corrections to student records including addresses, names, and social security number.
Upon course registration, students receive a copy of their schedule. Copies may be obtained online through accessBCC.
Students may be asked to provide proof of enrollment for various reasons, usually for health insurance purposes. Requests for enrollment verification are made with the Enrollment Center. Please allow 24 hours to process your request.
Grades may be accessed through accessBCC. Please note BCC does not mail student grade reports.
Intent to Graduate Form
Students who are nearing program completion and have earned at least 48 credits for a degree should complete an Intent to Graduate form available in the Enrollment Center. After a graduation audit, each student will receive an official notification regarding completion of program or certificate requirements.
Withdrawal Policy & Procedure
A student may withdraw from a course or the college at any time before the end of the tenth week of the traditional semester. Withdrawing from a credit course before or during the second week of the traditional semester will result in the course being drop/deleted from the academic record. After the second week a “W” grade will be assigned. Failure to withdraw by the tenth week of the traditional semester may result in an “F” grade, at the discretion of the instructor. Withdrawals may affect Satisfactory Academic Progress; see the Academic Standing policy for more information. For summer semester withdrawal dates please refer to the Academic Calendar.
Students withdrawing from one or all classes should notify the Enrollment Center. A student withdrawing from a class needs to submit a written request to the Enrollment Center. The request can be either the Course Change Form or a signed statement that includes the student name, ID number, and the course number. A student may also withdraw from classes online during the online registration period. A student withdrawing from all classes must complete a College Withdrawal Form and are encouraged to meet with an academic advisor. Those who wish to withdraw from Culinary Arts, General Studies Prep/Quest and selective health programs should talk with the program director. Withdrawal requests are not processed retroactively and only those withdrawals during a limited time period may result in a refund. See the college Refund Policy for more information.
Students register for courses every semester for the next semester. This also includes add/drop which allows students to make changes in their class schedule based on course availability.
Students may may view/print their unofficial and request official copies of their transcript through accessBCC. Transcript requests may also be made at the Enrollment Center. Please allow 48 hours for the processing of official transcript requests.
If you are currently enrolled in a certificate or a degree program and elect to take a course at another college while still enrolled at BCC, you may have the course evaluated for credit towards your program.
