Free financial aid help at Bristol Community College January 29
Bristol Community College will be the local site for College Goal Sunday on January 29, from 2-4 p.m. at the Fall River Campus. College Goal Sunday features free help in completing the FAFSA, the key form needed to apply for financial aid for college, and it will be held at 26 sites in Massachusetts.
College Goal Sunday is a volunteer-driven effort to provide free guidance to students and families seeking to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The event will feature access to experienced financial aid administrators, FAFSA experts available to answer questions, and guidance on the financial aid process and next steps after filing the FAFSA.
FAFSA Day Massachusetts expects to help at least 2,012 students during the FAFSA Day Massachusetts 2012 event. FAFSA Day Massachusetts will utilize its social media accounts to announce its progress towards their 2,012 goal. Also new for this year, FAFSA Day Massachusetts will enhance the support it provides to students and families after the event.
The FAFSA is the federally required form for all students seeking federal financial aid for higher education. Students attending college during the 2012-2013 academic year, must complete the 2012-2013 FAFSA, available at www.fafsa.gov, if they are interested in receiving federal and state financial aid.
