Bristol Community College offers Sustainable Agriculture Program this Fall
Are you interested in all things sustainable? Gain skills for gardening or for a career in agriculture and environmental fields this fall in BCC’s Sustainable Agriculture program. The College will offer an associate degree and certificate program in sustainable agriculture at the Fall River Campus. Learn about local and global sustainability, nutrition, environmental sciences, and growing food organically.
Graduates will be prepared to enter careers in farming, community organizations, agricultural businesses, or to continue their education in sustainability or environmental professions. Students in the program are eligible to transfer to the University of Massachusetts Amherst Sustainable Food and Farming Program, the University of Rhode Island Sustainable Agriculture Program, and several other programs.
The future of food and agriculture is changing and will require more and better food producers of all types. Agricultural demand is growing by more than 20 % per year, with organic and sustainable agriculture being the fastest growing sector.
