Course Design projects allow faculty to apply a systematic, learning-centered approach to the design or redesign of a course to provide significant learning experiences for students. Meeting in a weekly seminar, participants will consider important ideas in college teaching including:
- Active learning
- Educative assessment
- A taxonomy of significant learning
- The concept of a teaching strategy
They will acquire a deeper understanding of the design process while applying conceptual and procedural tools to effectively design one of the courses they offer.
