Service for students with visual impairments

The ODS assists visually challenged students by providing access to printed materials, such as textbooks, class outlines and schedules, and exams.

Available services include:

• Assistance with printed materials
• Assistance in acquiring brailed or taped textbooks
• Readers or scribes to assist with the completion of class assignments or exams
• Notetakers
• Raised line drawings of diagrams, charts, illustrations, or maps
• Classroom accommodations that include lighting or seating in front of the class
• Testing accommodations for students who need extra time to take written exams
• Personal guide dogs are allowed on campus
