Gateway to College
The Gateway to College program is for students who live in a qualifying school district and have left high school, are at risk of leaving high school, or are not going to graduate on time.
Gateway to College students are part of a comprehensive dual enrollment program that offers the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and college credits. Gateway students take all of their classes at BCC, which means they are out of a “traditional” high school setting and part of a rigorous yet supportive college environment. The program is currently offered at no cost to eligible students.
To become a Gateway to College student, applicants must participate in a comprehensive admissions process that includes placement testing, essays, one-on-one interviews, and orientation. Once accepted, students are held accountable for their grades and behavior, while being challenged to succeed in and out of the classroom.
