The Professional Supervisor: Effective Supervisory Skills and Leadership

Every workplace needs a leader that can help inspire a motivated and high-performing work team. These leaders often have specific titles like “front-line supervisor” or “manager,” but their job is the same; support your team and get the job done.

According to the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, “Not all supervisors make good team leaders. Many supervisors are used to planning, directing, and controlling the work. They may not know how to lead group consensus decision making processes or facilitate group problem-solving exercises.”

What qualities make a good leader? The Professional Supervisor: Effective Supervisory Skills and Leadership is a 20-hour training course that focuses on the important skills fundamental to a leadership position. The training provides supervisors, managers, and aspiring leaders with tangible skills that help engage employees in personal, interpersonal, and group settings. Higher engagement translates to higher productivity and an overall happier workforce. 

Held on Friday mornings over the span of five weeks, Bristol’s Professional Supervisor training is a flexible option for busy, hard-working individuals.
