Lynne A. Brodeur -- Dean of Health Sciences, Division of Health Sciences
Lynne has served as BCC’s associate dean of Health Sciences for the past three years. In this capacity, she provided the primary administrative oversight and support to the college’s health science programs offered at the New Bedford campus. Lynne also provided Dean Dent and Division IV faculty and staff with invaluable assistance in the broad oversight of all of the College’s health science programs.
Prior to coming to BCC, Lynne was a long-time faculty member in medical laboratory science at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, including extensive teaching responsibilities in medical laboratory science, medical assisting, and life sciences. She is an active member of her professional community, serving on numerous regional and national committees, including her current duties serving as site visitor and member of the Board of Directors for NAACLS (National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science). Prior to beginning her full-time career in education, Lynne worked as a clinical laboratory scientist in Fall River, New Bedford, and Taunton.
In addition to her paid professional career, Lynne has also exhibited tremendous commitment to her community, serving for many years on the Board of Directors for the Greater New Bedford Community Health Center, and as an elected member of the Board of Health for the town of Dartmouth.
