Volunteer Service Awards

See below to find out if you qualify for either a national or BCC Volunteer Service Award. 

President's Volunteer Service Award for Students

If you have served a minimum of 100 hours of unpaid service over the past year, you may qualify for the national President’s Volunteer Service Award. In order to qualify, you must be either a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident who is over 18 years of age and service must have occurred between February 1st and January 31st. If you meet the service requirement, but not the age or citizenship requirement, you may qualify for the BCC Volunteer Service Award.

As a recipient you will receive a congratulatory letter from the President of the United States, Donald Trump, a lapel pin (bronze, silver, gold, or blue), and a certificate of appreciation.

Please submit a completed President's Volunteer Service Award for Students form by March 15th of that year. For more information about this national program, please visit the President's Volunteer Service Award Website.

BCC Volunteer Service Award for Students

If you have performed a minimum of 100 hours of unpaid service over the past year, you may qualify for the BCC Volunteer Service Award. This award acknowledges students who do not qualify for the national President’s Volunteer Service Award (e.g., not a U.S. citizen, not a legal permanent resident, or not over 18 years of age). Service must have occurred between February 1st and January 31st. 

If you are a U.S. citizen or a legal permanent resident who is over 18 years of age, complete the President’s Volunteer Service Award for Students form 
instead.

As a recipient you will receive a certificate of appreciation from President Douglas and a BCC lapel pin. 

Please submit a completed Volunteer Service Award for Students 2016form by March 15th of that year.
