Transfer Students


BCC welcomes transfer students to continue their studies at any of our locations. If transferring from another college or university to Bristol Community college, please follow the steps below.

1. Select a Program of Study

  • To learn more about the many degree and certificate offerings available at Bristol, please visit our Academic Catalog. Please note that some of degree and certificate programs have selective admission criteria that must be met in order to be eligible for admission.
  • If you have questions about a program or certificate or would like assistance with the selection process, please contact the Admissions Office at 774.357.2947 or admissions@bristolcc.edu.

2. Apply for Admission

  • You may submit an application online (FREE) or download and complete our paper application ($10 for MA and RI residents, $35 for all others). The paper application may be dropped off in person to an Enrollment Center at any of our campus locations. It can also be mailed to: Admissions Office, Bristol Community College | 777 Elsbree Street | Fall River, MA 02720.
  • Contact your high school or state-approved high school equivalency testing center and request that an official copy of your official transcript be sent to: Admissions Office, Bristol Community College | 777 Elsbree Street | Fall River, MA 02720. Transcripts may also be faxed to the Admissions Office 508.730.3265. Please note that transcripts are only considered official if faxed directly from the school/testing center.
  • Contact all previously attended colleges and/or universities to request official transcript(s) be sent to the Admissions Office for placement testing review and transfer credit evaluation. To be considered official, transcripts must be submitted in a sealed envelope or electronically from the sending institution to admissions@bristolcc.edu.

3. Apply for Financial Aid

Once admitted, you will receive an official acceptance packet in the mail. Included will be information regarding your next enrollment steps, including Placement Testing and New Student Orientation. Please note that if you have completed a college-level mathematics or English course with a grade of C- or higher at a regionally accredited institution, you may be eligible for placement testing exemption. Please submit a copy of your official transcripts to the Admissions Office for further review.
