It’s all about the experience!

Get a jump start on the school year before classes begin. Join us for a day full of fun activities, free food, plus all the info you need to know to get ready for your first day! This is your chance to learn about programs, services and opportunities available to you as a Bristol student.

So stop by, get informed, and meet your classmates. All Bristol students and their families are welcome! Each location may also host their own new student sessions. Students attending those locations in the Fall are more than welcome to attend both events. See details below.

2 p.m. - New Student Orientation

‌Were you unable to attend a new student orientation earlier this summer? Now is your chance! Take part in this fast-track, one-hour orientation session to get the download on all the details you need to know about being a student at Bristol.

New Bedford campus students – scroll down further for details regarding a special new students event hosted at your campus on August 28. We encourage you to attend that event to get all the info you need to get started on that campus. If you’re unable to attend that day, you are more than welcome to attend this orientation as well as the program meetings and the opportunity fair hosted on the Fall River campus.

3 p.m. - Academic Program Meetings

Get to know more about your program of study at these meet and greet sessions tailored to each academic division. You’ll get the chance to connect with faculty as well as other students in your program. Find your room assignment here

4 to 7 p.m. - Opportunity Fair 

Get ready to join the college community with food, fun and friends! Learn about student clubs and support services and other resources available to you as a Bristol student. Music, activities and prize giveaways will take place throughout the afternoon. 

The Multicultural Center is also hosting an open house. All are welcome! 

Did we mention FREE FOOD?!? All students and their families are welcome to enjoy delicious fare from a variety of local food trucks from Fall River, New Bedford, Taunton and Attleboro, as well as a BBQ put on by food services. 

Need to tie up some loose ends? The enrollment center, bookstore and other services will offer extended hours to help you be ready for the first day of classes.  


“Welcome to Attleboro” Bristol EXPerience Event

This special welcome event for new Bristol students will feature a variety of activities to introduce you to the many academic and student resources available at the college's Attleboro campus. 

The bookstore will open at 9 a.m. that day. Light refreshments will be served.
